Enchantment Lakes Hikes

Hike to Enchantment Lakes - Wenatchee National Forest, WA

Why Hike this Trail?
This one we simply want to hike because of its legendary scenery. The hike is a brutal one, climbing over 5400 feet, but that must only serve to make reaching the Enchantment Lakes, at the top, all that more beautiful, and rewarding. Trip Overview

The Enchantment Lakes are in the Wenatchee National Forest. This is trail number 1553. Pick up permits at the Forest Service Station on the east end of Leavenworth. This one we need reservations for in advance. There are a variety of phone numbers to call, not sure which one is right: Leavenworth Ranger District 509-782-1413, another source says 509-548-5817, also 800-452-5687. One link below says to call 509-548-6977. There are more phone numbers in the links below. One of them has to work. Directions: At the west edge of town turn south 4 miles on Icicle River Road to the Snow Lakes parking lot.

Backup Plan... choose another hike in the North Cascades area

If for some reason (permit falls through, trail unhikable, etc) we cannot hike to the Enchantment Lakes, we'll choose another hike in North Cascades National Park...
